There are approximately 120,000 men and women in civil partnerships and a further 1,500 in same sex marriages in the UK.
Although dissolution is a similar legal process to divorce, the facts (or grounds) for dissolution differ and the practical solutions available to you as a couple can be more complex. You may have children together but perhaps only one of you is a parent in the eyes of the law or one of you may have had significantly more wealth and assets than the other but did not protect that wealth through a pre-nuptial agreement.
If you think that your relationship is at an end and want information about the legal process of dissolving your civil partnership or information on matters such as children, property and finances, please get in touch and we can talk you through your options free of charge.
